Accommodations
There are basically two options for accommodations. One is to stay in short-term student housing on campus, which is very inexpensive. Last year's rates were: $46.00 for a single ($5 extra for linens) and $28.00 per person for a shared double ($5 extra for linens. Depending on where you are placed, the walk will probably be between one half and one mile. If you are interested in the on-campus option, contact Hank Sneed:
The other option is to stay at a nearby hotel. According to Google Maps, all of the ones below are just a mile away from where the workshop is being held. But it sure feels longer, so you might want to have a car. We have negotiated university rates for workshop participants at the three hotels listed below. Be sure to register under the "LINKS Social Network Workshop" group name to get the discounted rate.
Below is a link to a map along with a list of all hotels within a (long, very hot) mile of the building in which the workshop will be held (Gatton College of Business and Economics Building, 550 South Limestone Street, Lexington, KY 40508). >> Map << South/West of Campus (cheap, but nicer walk)
Downtown (fancier hotels, but scuzzier walk)
