Session
Security Applications of Social Network Analysis

Instructors: Kim Glasgow

Location: TBA

This one-day workshop will provide a fundamental orientation to the applications of social network analysis to a range of national security challenges, including terrorism and radicalization, organized and transnational crime, and cyber-terrorism.  How can social network analysis contribute to our understanding of these phenomena and ability to respond strategically and tactically?  What challenges do we face in gathering network data, performing analysis, and conveying results and insights to policy makers or decision makers, and how does this differ from traditional academic research?  What limitations do we face?
